Welcome to our new superintendent, Mr. Scott Feder.

Mr. Feder started his career in education  in 1991 as a 5th grade teacher in the South Brunswick School System where he remained for 6 years as both teacher and administrator.   His  first Principalship was at the Hazel Avenue School in West Orange where he worked for two years.   For the last 9.5 years Mr. Feder has worked in the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District as both a principal (8.5 years) and the last year as Director of Elementary Education for 6 schools representing over 4,000 students.  

Denise Friedmann  is the School Business Administrator. Prior to working in the Rumson District Ms. Friedmann served in the districts of Atlantic Highlands for six years as Business Administrator, 10 years in the Fair Haven district, and in various business capacities of the private sector. 

Richard Karas  is the principal of Deane Porter School.  Before coming to Rumson as assistant principal of Forrestdale School in 2003, he taught eighth grade science in Freehold Township for four years. Rich also taught seventh and eighth grade science in Denville Township for five years. He has a BA from Rutgers University and earned a Masters Degree in Secondary Science Education from Rutgers University. In 2003, he received his second Masters Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Rutgers University.

Jennifer Gibbons  is the new   principal of Forrestdale School. Ms. Gibbons previously served as Principal in the Riverdale (K-8) district and as Assistant Principal/Supervisor of Curriculum in Byram Township.  Her teaching career began in the Markham Place School, Little Silver. 

Hank Graber is currently serving as Interim Child Study Team Supervisor.  Ms. Graber retired in 2009 after many years as Director in the Long Branch school system.
